In an elimination that began with 14 participants in the starting line-up, CuraVita won the competition for their design of a new 133,730 m2 hospital just outside Herning, Denmark known as the New Hospital in the West. CuraVitas’ project distinguishes itself by being tailored to the landscape and the exact needs of the hospital. The project is far from fabrics. The project is now ready to be a completely new hospital that has been based on the patient’s need for consistency during hospitalization or outpatient visits.
In the final design, they will closely involve the future users, and it will certainly help to maintain focus on patient needs consistency. The companies involved in the consortium bears together on a number of important lessons from previous similar projects in both Denmark and Scandinavia.
